Paschal Chem 🇨🇲

Paschal Chem-Langhee is the communication coordinator at the Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security (PAPS) of the African Union Commission (AUC). Since 2013, he has been a communication specialist at the Office of the President, the Office of the Special Envoy for Women, Peace and Security, and the Office of the Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security. He has led the AU’s information and public diplomacy efforts in African peace processes as well as during the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

Prior to joining the African Union, he worked in the field of public relations, broadcasting and advertising, as well as within a civil society organisation in Cameroon. He holds a Master’s degree in peace and security and a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication. He has been a member of the AfricTivistes network since its creation in November 2015.
